A Swedish AI company is looking for a Chief Revenue Officer to own and scale its commercial function. The platform applies AI to public procurement - helping public sector buyers and suppliers run tenders, analyse spend, and manage framework agreements. The business has strong traction with Swedish municipalities, regions and state agencies, and is now expanding across the Nordics and wider EU. Reporting to the CEO and sitting on the leadership team, the CRO will take a founder-led commercial effort and build it into a repeatable revenue engine spanning sales, marketing, partnerships and customer success.
Responsibilities
- Own the company's ARR targets across new business, retention and expansion
- Build and execute the commercial strategy and go-to-market motion for public sector
- Scale and lead the revenue organisation - hiring, structure, comp plans and enablement
- Establish forecasting, pipeline discipline and revenue operations infrastructure
- Own the tender and framework agreement strategy, including bid function and win rates
- Lead European expansion beyond Sweden into the wider Nordics and EU markets
- Own pricing and commercial model in line with public sector budget cycles
- Build relationships with senior public sector stakeholders and channel partners
- Present the commercial story to the board and in investor conversations
Requirements
- Proven track record scaling B2B SaaS revenue selling into the public sector
- Deep understanding of public procurement - LOU, EU directives, framework agreements and tender processes
- Experience taking a business through a significant ARR step-change
- Has built and led multi-function commercial teams, including a bid or tender function
- Strong grasp of forecasting, funnel metrics and unit economics
- Comfortable with long, procurement-led sales cycles and multi-stakeholder committees
- Awareness of the EU AI Act, GDPR and data sovereignty requirements in public sector AI
- Experience expanding public sector sales beyond a single national market
- Fluent Swedish and English
