Sales Engineer - Email Infrastructure & Cybersecurity

Remote (Europe) (hybrid available if preferred)

I'm partnering with a globally recognised software company that develops mission-critical email infrastructure used by enterprises, service providers and technology organisations around the world.

 

Their platform sits behind billions of business-critical emails, helping organisations build secure, scalable and highly reliable email services. As demand continues to grow, they're looking to add an experienced Sales Engineer to their commercial team.

 

This is a rare opportunity to join an engineering-led business where you'll work alongside some of the industry's leading experts, solving genuinely complex technical challenges rather than delivering standard software demonstrations.

 

The Opportunity

This isn't a traditional pre-sales role.

You'll act as the trusted technical advisor throughout the sales process, partnering with enterprise customers to understand their infrastructure, security and integration requirements before designing tailored solutions.

 

Working closely with Sales, Product and Engineering, you'll bridge commercial conversations with deep technical expertise while helping influence the future direction of the product.

The position is fully remote and offers significant autonomy, exposure to international enterprise customers and the opportunity to work on technology that powers business communication at global scale.

 

What You'll Be Doing

  • Partner with Account Executives throughout complex enterprise sales cycles
  • Lead technical discovery sessions with customers
  • Design solution architectures based on customer environments and business needs
  • Deliver technical demonstrations, workshops and proof of concepts
  • Act as the technical expert throughout customer evaluations
  • Collaborate with Product and Engineering teams to provide customer feedback and influence product development
  • Support implementation planning and technical onboarding where appropriate
  • Represent the business at customer meetings, industry events and conferences

 

What We're Looking For

You'll likely bring experience in several of the following:

  • Experience as a Sales Engineer, Solutions Engineer, Solutions Architect or Technical Consultant
  • Strong customer-facing communication skills with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts
  • Experience working with enterprise software, infrastructure or cybersecurity solutions
  • Knowledge of email infrastructure, SMTP, email security, deliverability or messaging technologies would be highly advantageous
  • Comfortable discussing APIs, Linux environments and technical integrations
  • Experience supporting complex B2B enterprise sales cycles
  • Ability to communicate effectively with both technical teams and executive stakeholders
  • Fluent English
