Should I follow up with a Recruiter?

Yesterday, I saw a post from a recruiter on here telling candidates not to follow up with a message on LinkedIn after they apply for a role as this will 'clog up' their inbox.

Probably the worst advice I've seen on here in a very long time

If you apply for a role, connect with hiring managers, drop the recruiter a message, show them who you are and make yourself more than just your CV.

We chase you when we want you, no reason you shouldn't do the same back - it gets results.
